Terms and Conditions
These Terms and Conditions govern the provision of engineering services by CRÉER Engineering ("CRÉER") in Portugal. By requesting a quote or engaging a service, the client accepts the conditions set out below.
1. Provider details
CRÉER Engineering
Coimbra · Portugal
Email: info@creeringenieria.com
Telephone / WhatsApp: +351 969 042 402
Opening hours: Monday to Friday, 08:00 – 20:00
2. Scope
CRÉER provides structural engineering services (structural stability projects, calculation to the Eurocodes, structural reinforcement, BIM modelling and finite element analysis, structural surveys and technical reports, technical site supervision), including pre-purchase structural surveys and seismic vulnerability assessments. CRÉER does not carry out building works.
Engineering services carrying legal responsibility are carried out and signed by an engineer registered with the Ordem dos Engenheiros, Portugal's statutory body for engineers. CRÉER does not carry out building works: site works are carried out by the contractor hired by the client, and CRÉER may provide technical site supervision when engaged to do so.
3. Quotes and prices
- The initial assessment and diagnosis are free and place the client under no obligation.
- Figures shown on this website, in the quote calculator and in the PDF guides are reference ranges based on 2025–2026 market prices. They do not constitute a contractual offer.
- The binding quote is issued in writing, itemised, following a technical assessment. It is valid for 30 days from the date of issue.
- Once accepted and signed, the price is fixed: there will be no additions for measurement or coordination errors attributable to CRÉER.
- Additional work may be charged where it results from changes requested by the client, from hidden structural conditions not detectable at the initial assessment, or from new requirements imposed by the licensing authority. In any such case the amount is notified and approved in writing before the work is carried out.
- Unless stated otherwise, prices exclude municipal fees and other planning-related administrative charges.
4. Timescales
Delivery timescales are set out in the accepted quote. CRÉER is not responsible for delays caused by: late delivery of information by the client (drawings, access, decisions), the actions of third parties (the câmara municipal, the building's management, other disciplines), or force majeure. Where a delay is attributable to CRÉER, the timescale clause in the signed contract applies.
5. Guarantees
- Fixed price in accordance with clause 3.
- 12 months' aftercare on delivered work: if an issue attributable to CRÉER arises within that period, we return at no cost.
- 2 rounds of design revision included until the client approves. Structural verification to the Eurocodes is not negotiable and is not subject to revision on aesthetic grounds.
- These contractual guarantees are in addition to — and do not replace — the client's statutory consumer rights under Portuguese law, including the legal warranty periods applicable to property and building contracts.
6. Technical responsibility
The termo de responsabilidade required by the planning process is signed by an engineer registered with the Ordem dos Engenheiros, holding valid professional civil liability insurance. CRÉER does not issue permits: planning permission is the exclusive competence of the câmara municipal. CRÉER prepares, signs and delivers the technical documents the process requires.
CRÉER's liability is limited to the work it has itself carried out and signed. It does not extend to work carried out by third parties on the same structure, nor to departures from the design that were not notified to CRÉER.
7. Payment
Unless otherwise agreed in the contract, payment is staged and tied to delivery milestones. Invoicing follows applicable Portuguese tax law. Late payment may suspend delivery of documents and the continuation of works.
8. Intellectual property
Calculation reports, drawings and BIM models remain the intellectual property of CRÉER until the service is paid in full, at which point the client is granted a licence to use them for the specific project concerned. Reuse on another project, or transfer to third parties for construction purposes, requires written authorisation.
9. Cancellation and right of withdrawal
The client may cancel at any time; work already carried out up to the cancellation date remains payable. Where the contract is concluded at a distance or off-premises with a consumer, the 14-day right of withdrawal under Decreto-Lei n.º 24/2014 applies; if the client expressly requests that work begin within that period, the amount proportionate to the work already performed remains payable.
10. Data protection
Processing of personal data is governed by our Privacy Policy, in accordance with the GDPR.
11. Complaints and dispute resolution
Any complaint may be submitted by email to info@creeringenieria.com or through the Portuguese Electronic Complaints Book (Livro de Reclamações Eletrónico).
In the event of a consumer dispute, the consumer may refer the matter to an alternative dispute resolution (ADR) body under Lei n.º 144/2015 of 8 September. The current list of competent ADR bodies is available on the Portuguese Consumer Portal. The competent body is the consumer arbitration centre for the consumer's place of residence.
12. Governing law and jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by Portuguese law. The courts of the Coimbra district have jurisdiction over any dispute, without prejudice to mandatory consumer protection rules, including the consumer's right to bring proceedings in the court of their own domicile.
13. Changes
These Terms may be updated. The version in force on the date the quote is accepted always applies. Last updated: October 2026.
